Nacho, “the farmhand”
Elizabeth Kelly
Welcome!
For as long as I can remember I was going out into the yard, picking flowers and putting them in a vase to take inside. I loved to plant them, pick them and convinced my parents we NEEDED to shop at the local nursery every spring and summer.
Fast forward to my own house and I am still doing the same thing. I lost my way and detoured into only veggies for awhile, even famously saying to a friend, “Why would you grow something you can’t eat?!” I definitely still do veggies BUT, the flowers won and I am hooked.
My “farm” is my home garden. I have raised beds, in ground gardens, a “she-shed” greenhouse-esque structure, and the Tulip Den- my basement! Year after year I am taking out more grass and planting more stuff. Most of all, my “farm” also houses my people- my wonderful husband, 3 awesome kids, and Nacho (yellow labs make great farmhands!).
With this business, I have three goals:
Grow more types of flowers and sell them, retail and wholesale
Encourage others to enjoy “growin’ stuff” with events, sales and education
Give back to my community, and make it a little prettier!
Thanks for stopping by!
